Capt.
John Boats offers a wide variety of deep sea fishing trips from a 4,
6 & 8 hour excursions. Regardless of which trip you choose, you
can count on an experienced, friendly crew, and a professional licensed
Captain. Our boats are inspected by the U.S Coast Guard annually and
feature the latest in marine navigation and fish finding equipment.
Whether you are a beginner or an "old pro", you are sure to have a great
day on the water, and with any luck, the big one won't get away! To
get the most out of your trip, there a few things you can do to achieve
this. The weather usually cooperates but remember, you are going out
on a boat, if you are prone to seasickness, you may want to take motion
sickness pills an hour before the trip departs. Once on-board, listen
to the instructions and advice that the Captain and crew give you, it
will make everyone's day more enjoyable. Don't be afraid to ask for
help with your equipment or unhooking a fish, we have crew members there
for that reason.
The Captain is trying his best to put the boat in a place where there
are fish, this may mean he will move the boat from one spot to another
until he feels he is in a good spot. Most of the time he will anchor
the boat but sometimes if the weather is right, he will "drift" fish,
meaning he will let the wind and the tide move the boat over a desired
area.
It is important to remember that there are times when the fish just
don't bite, be patient, things can change in a hurry! When the boat
is headed back to port, you may have your fish cleaned and filleted
by the crew for a small fee. It is customary to tip the crew members
who have worked hard for you during your trip, this may also be done
on the ride into port.
Capt. John Boats have been fishing these waters for over 50 years, come
