Captain John Boats in Plymouth has been fishing the waters of New England for more than 60 years. We’ve learned a few things over time. We know the species of fish our groups are in search of and where to find them. Our crews also know the equipment and fishing techniques, and we share our knowledge to ensure you have a worthwhile experience! We have four hour and eight hour trips available. Although everyday is different, on our 4 hour trips we may catch mackerel, hake, flounder and whiting, our 8 hour trips we may catch haddock, red fish, cusk, hake and whiting. *Reminder Cod is restricted in the state of MA and if caught it must be thrown back*

During the months of April, October, November, and December, Capt. John Boats is partnering with Helen H Offshore to offer expanded offshore fishing opportunities sailing directly out of Plymouth Harbor. For these months, Capt. John Boats will partner with Helen H Offshore to run select low-capacity offshore trips aboard Helen H Offshore vessels with strong experience fishing offshore.
